So how do you know if your child was able to speak English? When I was homeschooling, I was so stressed on the analysis of the literature. It seemed as if we are not constantly in reading comprehension problems and criticism that have been provided. I knew that my children love books, but still stood on the analysis of the literature. Each year I spent a long time, Progeny Press, Learning language arts through literature, as well as the options of other subjects. Why was I denied? Why could not teach literary analysis? Every time I asked my children? "How did the book" all I ever got was: "It was great mom - who's next?" As I read aloud to them, they laughed at the funny sections, and ask me to read more (or faster) #) to the exciting parts. However, we never really had a good dialogue on the deeper meaning of the literature we read.
Last summer, when children came home from his first year in college, I felt like I could finally say that I had in my goal, teaching them to love literature with success. "Just for fun," he went to the library to get some reading material. To read my son Alex, what appeared to be the canon of Shakespeare, my son Kevin Lee CS Lewis, and Dostoevsky.
In the spring of his sophomore year, I said more tests, he had won, in fact. My youngest son, started a Jane Austen in college. This spring, he organized the "Pemberly Ball" at the Academy, with period costumes,
decorations and food at that time. It was a great performance! My kids love both Jane Austen books and movies, and loved the Jane Austen-inspired ball Pemberly
How should teach a love of literature? All that is needed to feed the good books! I said, if they were in high school, but I can honestly say I have achieved my goal: My kids love the literature. Hooray! Gano.
